Dental Discharge Splints
No one is perfect of course and the existence of an imperfect denture which coincides with an imperfect facial anatomy that works with an imperfect jaw (almost all humans have defects in the mouth) ensures that through the years the daily use of this chewing apparatus creates an "erosion" that translates into an inevitable dental wear and tear.
To prevent it and/or avoid its progress we recommend the use of a rigid plastic horseshoe placed in the mouth before going to sleep so that during the night the patient can achieve a balanced closing of the mouth thus stopping more wear as well as allowing a relaxed posture and preventing jaw movements that may have harmful consequences.
